Sometimes finding the center of a board can  prove difficult.
I have been known to count the little lines on the ruler.
Or better still,  I have even measured from palm to finger tip from both ends of the board and found the middle from there.

Terrible, I know.  Scott has had to give me many pre-algebra refresher courses.

But this method I get.  I can do this!
